ECI FINNEYTOWN COMMUNITY HUB
Engage with our life changing work, learn about our community model, and explore the community transformation projects that we run in Cincinnati!
We exist to join, advocate, and initiate collaboration and friendship among faith, civic, and education sectors in Cincinnati neighborhoods.
Community Hub Ethos
Authentic, "beloved" community informs our radically inclusive ethos and drives our passionate belief that each human being is equally important, has intrinsic God-given worth and is uniquely valuable. We hope that our five ethos values (or behaviours) of inclusion, relationships, equality, hope and perseverance permeate everything we do and are obvious wherever and whenever you encounter us.
Our five ethos values:
A passion to include everyone
A desire to treat everyone equally, respecting differences
A commitment to healthy and open relationships
A deep sense of hope that things can change and be transformed
A sense of perseverance to keep going for the long haul
The Finneytown Community Hub and Summer Camp is a part of the Economics of Compassion Initiative. We exist to join, advocate, and initiate collaboration and friendship among faith, civic, and education sectors in local neighborhoods. We take an inclusive, empowering, and holistic approach desiring that all experience their God-given potential.

ASSET BASED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
A lot of what we do in our community hub is based on "Asset Based Community Development". It was first developed by our good friend John McKnight.
He, and another great friend, Cormac Russell, recently wrote a great article on Asset Based Community Development or "ABCD", check it out!
